Welcome to Boulder Valley Velodrome
There are approximately 26 velodromes in the United States, and one of them can be found in Erie, Colo., just outside of Denver and Boulder.
From the curious to the competitive, from riders to spectators, Boulder Valley Velodrome offers something for everyone.
Thursday Night Racing and our Saturday Sprint and Time Trial Series are great times to visit Boulder Valley Velodrome. That’s when you will encounter the types of track cycling races you’ve seen in the Olympics.
Thursday nights offer the most high-intensity racing, with several competitors who’ve competed and hold championship titles at the national and international level. We engage fans with special drawings for prizes, and we encourage you to bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy on the infield.

Do you charge admission?
No. Spectating is always free at BVV, and all ages are welcome
Are food and drinks available for sale?
Sometimes we have vendors on site, and we are working to increase their frequency. We do sell bottled water and some soft drinks.
You are always welcome to bring your own food and drink to enjoy in the spectating area of our infield. There are several picnic tables to accommodate you and your group. Our infield restrooms have running water where you can refill your water bottles.
Can’t make it to the races?
Stop by anytime we’re open. Visit our calendar to see all scheduled training sessions, races and other events. Or, if you happen to be driving down E County Line Road and see cars in the parking lot, you are welcome to stop in, observe the riders and take a tour.
If you are in the area for a vacation or business trip, we encourage you to make BVV part of your stay.
If you want to try riding a velodrome for the first time or a first time in a long time, you are welcome to schedule a Taster Session or enroll in our Certification Classes.
Experienced out-of-town riders
If you’ve ridden a velodrome before and want to participate in open training, racing or other programming, please contact Chris to tell us when you will be visiting so we can welcome you and make arrangements.
Don’t have a bike?
No problem! We have a fleet of Specialized Langster track bikes and Pearl Izumi shoes that you can use for free with your class entry or rider pass.
The Velodrome is located in Erie, Colorado and is only about a 20 minute drive from Boulder.
