Message from Pat

Our newsletter’s a little late but what a weekend!  The Women’s Social was great! We had our largest group of sprinters yet for our Adventure Cycling, Saturday Sprint Series – The Colorado Junior States were so much fun and we even squeezed in a couple Certification classes between the raindrops! Given all that, I slept through most of Monday, but I’m recharged and ready for the big week ahead.

This week we have our first training Madison – I hope to see some of our Juniors there. The Saturday Time Trials are on for this week and don’t forget the daily training specials. By the way, I spoke to the group that has been riding the Fast Laps on Tuesdays, 5:30p-7p and they suggested that we change the name to something like “Riding Laps with Old Guys” but we decided that Fitness Laps sounded better.
So come on out!
Look forward to seeing you all at the track!

Rider of the week – Matt Dahlke

Matt Dahlke (Far left) began his foray on the track during the 2018 season. A reformed crit racer, Matt has fully embraced sprint training and racing as he transitioned from the road to the velodrome. He has made huge improvements in a short amount of time – due in part to his immense enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and ability to execute some of the harder aspects of sprinting through his weekly racing. Matt’s progress on the bike compliments his attitude off of it; he is an exceptionally supportive teammate and BVV community member, providing every measure of kindness and encouragement to his fellow riders. Progress is most fun when we make it together – Matt exemplifies and drives that every day. Well done, sir; keep up the great work!
