Happy 4th of July week!
We had a great week here at BVV!  I may have had my longest but most enjoyable day in 5 years at the velodrome last Thursday.
Over 40 kids from the Boulder Junior Cycling Development Team came to ride the track. They were at the track bright and early at 8:15am. It took awhile but we were able to get every one of the riders up on the track and riding and it was a BLAST!
(We have some great photos posted)

That was followed by a taster with a father and son where the dad came from Ohio and felt the altitude but loved the experience.  I have been involved in track cycling since 1973 and giving people their first taste of the track – that is what I love the most!

The day ended with a great evening of racing at the Thursday Night Racing Series.  Trinidad’s Tyler Cole, Boulder’s Paisley Sheehan, Golden’s Greg Langer and local Michael Watkins won the Omniums.  By the time I got home and posted the results it was an 18 hour day of riding and racing and fun I love track cycling!  Hope to see you soon.
