Happy new year to everyone in our Boulder Valley Velodrome family!

As we turn our attention to the year to come, I want to update you on what is happening at BVV, and get your help.

    • First, we continue to focus on providing the best training and racing atmosphere for everyone in our track cycling community. That means keeping our facility safe and in excellent condition. To that end, we are currently replacing boards in the lower track—the sprinters lane and blue band—that will “tighten up” the track and give us several seasons of great riding.

    • To ensure a successful track cycling year, we are in the middle of creating the 2019 schedule aimed at giving everyone access and opportunity to use the track. This includes expanded training and racing programming to reach new riders and assist those who have already taken that first step. This also includes meshing the BVV race schedule with what is happening nationally and internationally.  We expect to announce the 2019 schedule in February.
If you have event or training ideas, please let me know now.

  • To ensure a financially sound year, we need to grow our community sponsorship base in 2019. While we are fortunate to have a core group of long-term and dedicated sponsors who have supported our programs and facility since the beginning, we are actively recruiting new sponsors to whom we can provide marketing benefits. Who in your circles might be a good fit as a BVV sponsor—your employer, neighbor, riding buddies?

Please contact BVV Development Director Susan Lavelle with your sponsor suggestions: Susan@bouldervalleyvelodrome.com

To make 2019 the best year ever at BVV, we need more riders, and the track community is open to everyone! If you have already purchased a 2019 season pass—thank you! If not, please buy a BVV VeloPass and tell a friend that it’s time to get on board.

We look forward to seeing all of you at the track for a fantastic 2019 year of track cycling!
