We are forming a Founding Member’s Club as the backbone of participation at the velodrome. The Boulder Valley Velodrome will begin construction when the Founding Member’s Club has 100 members. The cost is $5,000 for a five-year membership. The money raised for this club will not be spent until the facility is open. Founding Members will then have a chance to tour the facility, ride the velodrome, and make a final decision on being a member.
Here are the specifics of Founding Member benefits:
- This membership will require no further payment for five years.*
- Highest priority position for track time.**
- Free use of rental bikes. ***
- 10 guest passes per year. ****
- This membership is transferable from year to year.*****
- The satisfaction of being an integral part in a grassroots project that finally brought a velodrome to Boulder County.******
* The time from your payment to opening day will be added to the five years. For example, if the track is not finished until eight months after your commitment, your membership will be extended by eight months.
** Track access is at the heart of your Founding Membership. Your options for getting track time will be the most abundant and flexible of any level. Founding Members can ride virtually any time they want to. They can join in during other club’s workouts, or they can train on their own during any instructional class. There will also be exclusive training sessions for Founding Members.
*** The velodrome will have a large fleet of quality, well-tuned track bikes on hand at all times.
**** To be used during “Founding Member Only” track time.
***** The ability to transfer Founding Member benefits to another person each year adds flexibility to this membership. Perhaps a company would like to award their “Employee of the Year” with a year long Founding Membership. For those of you who donate to fund raising auctions every year, this would surely be a hot item to raise money for your cause.
